Privacy Policy

The short version: Just Browser does not collect any data about you. We have no servers that the app talks to, no account, no analytics and no ads. What you do in the app stays on your device.

What stays on your device

Your browsing history, bookmarks, open tabs, saved articles, highlights, notes and settings are stored only on your iPhone or iPad. We cannot see them. History is kept for 90 days and is never recorded in private tabs. Clear Browsing Data in the menu deletes history, cookies, site data and cache.

Connections the app makes

Like any browser, Just Browser connects to the websites you choose to visit. Beyond that, it makes only these connections:

• DuckDuckGo: when you type words (not an address) in the address bar, they are sent to DuckDuckGo to search. See DuckDuckGo’s privacy policy.
• Safety lists: about once a day, on Wi-Fi, the app downloads public lists of known scam and malware sites (Phishing.Database from GitHub, and URLhaus from abuse.ch). This is a download only: nothing about you or the sites you visit is sent. Every check against these lists happens on your device.
• Apple’s fraudulent website warning: Just Browser uses Apple’s WebKit, which can warn about fraudulent sites. Apple describes how this works in Safari’s privacy information.

Key points (summaries)

Article summaries are written on your device by Apple Intelligence. The article text is not sent to us or to any other server by Just Browser.

Feedback and problem reports

If you choose Send Feedback or Report a Problem with This Site, the app opens an email draft in your own mail app. A site report includes the page address, a few app settings (such as whether Text mode was on), the app version and your device model and system version. You see the whole message and decide whether to send it. If you do, we use it only to reply to you and fix problems, and we don’t share it.

Cookies and websites

Websites you visit may set their own cookies and have their own privacy policies. Just Browser blocks third-party cookies if you turn that on, and blocks known ads and trackers by default.

Children

Just Browser does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
